چکیده

A monthly survey of the feeding selectivity Ruditapes philippinarum in Yalu River Estuary 2020–2021 was conducted using high-throughput sequencing identification and visual grading technology. The results showed that most-dominant species water shellfish culture area stomachs R. Karlodinium veneficum those years. index (E) indicated avoided consuming Bacillariophyta, Chrysophyta Cryptophyta throughout year preferentially consumed Dinophyta Chlorophyta. In 2020, annual average biomass Dinophyta, Chlorophyta, Dictyochophyta, stomach contents 54:14:16:1:10:4; it 41:12:28:0:1:17 2021. ratio picophytoplankton, nanophytoplankton microphytoplankton 13:48:39 2020; 14:66:20 actively fed on picophytoplankton. Among phytoplankton different sizes groups prefer to feed, chemical oxygen demand (COD) organic phosphorus (DOP) have a significant negative effect community, pH has positive Dictyochophyta community COD inorganic nitrogen (DI-N/P) Chlorophyta community.

Dispersal, recurrence and settlement of Manila clam, Ruditapes philippinarum

The majority of the marine benthos is pelagic in their larval stage. The Manila clam Ruditapes philippinarum, is widely distributed on sandy tidal flats across Japan and a commercially important shellfish. The clam has a planktonic larval stage, which lasts 2 to 3 weeks after hatching. In this stage, the most clam larvae are able to disperse over wide areas with the currents and then settle on ...

Salinity effects on immune parameters of Ruditapes philippinarum challenged with Vibrio tapetis.

The occurrence of brown ring disease (BRD) in farmed Manila clams Ruditapes philippinarum is seasonal. Development of the disease is believed to require the presence of the infective agent Vibrio tapetis and particular environmental conditions. This paper studies the effect of salinity (20 to 40 per thousand) on measurable immune parameters of Manila clams, and the progression of BRD in experim...

Genetic differentiation between natural and hatchery populations of Manila clam (Ruditapes philippinarum) based on microsatellite markers.

Manila clam (Ruditapes philippinarum) is one of the major aquaculture species around the world and supports an important segment of the aquaculture industry in China. In this study, we used ten microsatellite markers to detect genetic diversity within six R. philippinarum populations and genetic differentiation between them. A total of 109 alleles were detected across all loci. Compared to wild...

Sediment geochemical controls on CD, CR, and ZN assmilation by the clam Ruditapes philippinarum.

Several important sediment geochemical factors (particle size, contact time, artificial sediment composition, acid volatile sulfide, and pure inorganic particles coated or uncoated with humic acid) were examined for their influences on the assimilation of Cd, Cr, and Zn in the marine clam Ruditapes philippinarum. Metal desorption and phase speciation were concurrently measured for these particl...
